Composing and Teaching in Digital Environments
Increasingly, the kind of composing that we are asked to do as students, professionals, and citizens involves not just words, but a variety of media components, including photographs, illustrations, design elements, sounds, and even animations and video. The writing center supports this kind of new media composing. Digital Writing Consultants (DWCs) help composers make effective choices about all aspects of their projects, including the integration of words, visuals, and their elements.
Our "creation stations" are equipped with a full spectrum of multimedia authoring tools. To make an appointment with a DWC, call 432-3610 and let the receptionist know what kind of project you're working on.
