Attention creative writers!  Need an audience for your story, nonfiction essay, drama, or poem?  Want help perfecting your craft?  Come on down to the MSU Writing Center where we have plenty of resources on creative writing tips and tricks (books and handouts), suggestions for becoming a better writer, and a creative writing workshop where you can share and discuss your pieces, get tons of helpful feedback, and meet other writers in the community. 

At the Center, you can make one-on-one appointments with consultants trained in creative writing, and even some who are creative writing majors, where you get individual attention and a person focused on only you for 50 whole minutes!  Consultations are available to MSU students and faculty, but the workshops are open to anyone and everyone. 

Creative writing workshops are available every semester and to join a group click on the "Writing Groups" tab and then click on "join a group" and sign up for the creative writing one.  The Writing Center isn't just a grammar fix-it shop, we have plenty to offer to all writers, including creative writers, and are ready and waiting for you to come in!
