Want your 15 minutes of MSU fame? How about your tweets on our TV? If you include @WCMSU or #WCMSU in any tweet it will appear on the new plasma TV in 300 Bessey Hall. We keep the TV on all day and it cycles through recent tweets. It’s a quick way to share your experiences with everyone in the Writing Center. We suggest you stop by and see just how awesome it really is.
Our Twitter and Facebook sites are there for your use. You’ll see friendly reminders and updates from our consultants about upcoming events or open appointments like this one:
You can also find photos of our most recent Open Mic Night on our Facebook page, as well as other pictures of consultants and clients hard at work in the center. As consultants, we also want to hear what your think. Ask us questions. Tell us about your consultation. Make suggestions. These social media sites are outlets for you to do so.
We also have a blog on our site where the consultants post about their various Writing Center experiences. Here you can read about the research going on in the center and the conferences we attend and present at. There is a lot of great information here about the behind the scenes work at the center.
